But, there are people upon the earth today that can foresee the future, and I have to admit that many of my friends are among them. They told me if I voted for McCain, the nation's hope would deteriorate, and sure enough there has been a 20 point drop in the Consumer Confidence Index since the election, reaching a lower point than any time during the Bush administration. They told me if I voted for McCain, the US would become more deeply embroiled in the middle east, and sure enough, tens of thousands of additional troops are scheduled to be deployed into Afghanistan. They told me if I voted for McCain, that the economy would get worse and sure enough, unemployment is approaching 8.8% and the new stimulus packages implemented recently have sent the stock market lower than at any time since 9-11. They told me if I voted for McCain, we would see more "crooks" in high ranking positions in Federal government and sure enough, a number of recent cabinet nominees and Senate appointments revealed resumes of bribery and tax fraud. Well … I ignored my friends in November and voted for McCain, and they were right... all of their predictions have come true.

Hey Everybody!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We have done the leg work and found the small amount of items we still need for the arrival of Weston. We went and looked around one store that had it all Babies "R" Us. Go to the Babies “R” Us link on the web. For the sake of privacy contact either mom or dad for the name of the baby when you either select an item or donate to that particular item. The biggest items are the stroller, basinett, and baby swing. The stroller is for Brooke and the baby to take nice summer walks in the fresh air. We have a stroller, but it is bad for your back when walking on the sidewalks, so you can say it has a dual purpose. The bassinet would work for the beginning as our house is small and hot during the summer. With the bassinet he can sleep beside our bed. We decorated his room with monkeys, elephants, bears, alligators, and pandas (The Nojo brand- A Day At the Zoo). The baby is due towards the end of June - beginning of July. If anyone has any questions about colors or what we have or if you are in the mood and find yourself shopping then give Brooke or myself a call by getting the phone number from mom or dad. Look forward to talk to everyone about the baby. Bye.

What is a 710 knob? A woman came into her local garage and asked for a seven-hundred-ten knob. The mechanics all looked at each other and asked, 'What is a seven-hundred-ten knob?' She replied, 'You know, the little piece in the middle of the engine, I have lost it and need a new one.. ' She replied that she did not know exactly what it was, but this piece had always been there. The mechanic gave her a piece of paper and a pen and asked her to draw what the piece looked like. She drew a circle and in the middle of it wrote 710. He then took her over to another car which had its hood up and asked 'is there a 710 on this car?' She pointed and said, 'Of course, its right there.'

This lady was driving the other day and said that she saw a man driving down the interstate at a high rate of speed, with a dog hanging on for life from the tailgate. She thought about stopping him but he was going the opposite direction. Days later she found out that the guy was a taxidermist!! Photo for ya to chuckle about.

"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it." Dr. Adrian Rogers, 1931 - 2005

So now just imagine. You are a south African bush pilot. You fly in some critical medical supplies, eat a fast lunch at the hospital. It is a stifling 100 degrees in the shade and you are eager to get back up to the cool, high blue yonder. On the way back to your plane, you discover that the only bit of shade, is within 10 miles, has become very popular. You start calculating the distance to the plane door, and you wonder…do I feel lucky today?

Here is my strategy on the cold war, we win they lose. The most terrifying words in the English language are: I am from the government and I am here to help. The trouble with a lot of liberals is not that they are ignorant, it is just that they know so much that isn’t so. I have wondered at times what the Ten Commandments would have looked like if Moses had run them through the US Congress. The taxpayer is someone that works for the federal government but does not have to take a civil service examination. The governments view on the economy can be summed up in a few phrases: If it moves tax it. If it keeps moving regulate it. If it stops moving then subsidize it.-----Ronald Reagan
