Our teacher asked us what your favorite animal was, and I said, "Fried chicken." She said I wasn't funny, but she couldn't have been right, everyone else in the class laughed. My parents told me to always be truthful and honest, and I am. My parents told me to always be truthful and honest. and I am . Fried chicken is my favorite animal. I told my dad what happened, and he said my teacher was probably a member of PETA. He said they love animals very much. I do, too. Especially chicken, pork and beef. Anyway, my teacher sent me to the principals office. I told him what happened, and he laughed too. Then he told me not to do it again. The next day in class my teacher asked me what my favorite live animal was. I told her it was chicken. She asked me why, just like she had asked the other children. So I told her it was because you could make them into fried chicken. She sent me back to the principals office again. He laughed, and told me not to do it again. I don't understand. My parents taught me to be honest, but my teacher doesn't like it when I am. Today, my teacher asked us to tell her what famous person we admire most. I told, "Colonel Sanders." Guess where I am now......
One Sunday in counting the money in the weekly offering, the pastor of a small church found a pink envelope with $1,000.00 in it. It happened again the next week! The following Sunday he watched as the offering was collected and saw an elderly woman put the distinctive pink envelope in the plate. This went on for weeks when curosity got the best of the pastor, and he approached her. "Ma'am, I couldn't help but notice that you put $1,000.00 a week in the collection plate. "Why yes," she replied, "every week my son sends me money and I give some to the church."The pastor replied, "That's wonderful. But $1,000.00 is a lot, are you sure you can afford this? How much does he send you?" The elderly woman answered "$10,000.00 per week." The pastor was amazed. "Your son is very successful, what does he do for a living?" "He is a veterinarian," she answered. "That's an honorable profession, but I had no idea that they made that much money," the pastor said. "Where does he practice?" The woman answered proudly, "In Nevada...He has two cat houses, one in Reno, and one in Las Vegas."
